Our second group of people (12 people) have arrived safely! They had to stay in CT an extra day for High School graduations.
Our entire group enjoyed a great morning of Bible Study with Amaury Telemaco, who grew up on a Batey in the DR and played 9 seasons in the major leagues in the US. He shared his testimony of faith and hope in Jesus.
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NLT)
We also enjoyed a morning service with our host church, Maranatha. Jon Masella, Crystal Gerace & Matt Powers provided worship music as How Great Thou Art was lifted up in 2 languages (English & Creole).
John Powers, team leader, thanked the church for their amazing hospitality and for their faith in this ever-growing mission.
Later, pastor of First Baptist Church, Doug Valentine, preached a strong message to the congregation while Pastor Lubin translated into Creole.
